Damn Yankees, an all-time great Broadway musical will be the second of New York City Center's Encores' Summer Stars series. It will be presented July 5-27 with tickets ranging between $25-$110 at the City Center Main Stage. The Broadway musical classic stars Sean Hayes, Jane Krakowski, Cheyenne Jackson and Randy Graff.
Damn Yankees is the story of the ultimate baseball fan, Joe Boyd, who sells his soul to the Devil (Sean Hayes) for a chance to help his team, the Washington Senators, win the pennant race against the Yankees. The Devil is assisted by the sultry and sexy Lola (Jane Krakowski), who lures Joe, but ultimately helps him outfox the Devil and return to his adored wife.
The classic Broadway Musical features songs "Heart" and "Whatever Lola Wants." It is based on the novel "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant" by Douglass Wallop.
